Learning Goals:
1) Summarize how technology aids in the detection of natural disasters.
2) Summarize how technology impacts the survival rate of natural disasters.
3) Summarize how technology impacts how the world responds to natural disasters.
4) Be able to create one example of how the US could aid during a natural disaster.
Project Overview:
Students will be assigned to groups and each group will be assigned a topic. (Refer to group page of wiki Groups). Each group will conduct research on their topic. Each group will analyze their findings. Each group will create a power point presentation on their topic. All power point presentation will then be combined for a whole-class project. All students are expected to work collaboratively and equally contribute to their group. Remember to treat others in your group as you would want to be treated.
Decide Phase:
ü Fill out self-information form and submit it to the instructor. This form will be utilized to assign students to groups and topics to groups.
ü Once you have been assigned your group and your group has been assigned a topic begin meeting with your group and assign project
roles to the group members. Group Page
ü Browse the wiki page: look at the various tabs, review instructions, checklists, etc. You will notice on the left of the wiki page is the navigation tab with links to the different pages. At the top of each page there is a discussion tab where you can discuss with members of your group, the class, and the instructor anything related to the project.

ü Outline content: synthesize, organize & outline the content for your project
ü Create flowcharts: this will help you visualize how various parts of your project will fit together
ü Specify screen design & layout: determine the template layout for each screen
ü Write scripts or storyboards: storyboards should contain all the information that will be place on the templates
